About coolsculpting
CoolSculpting is a non-invasive, non-surgical (no cutting, no needles, no anesthesia) procedure that gets rid of unwanted fat almost anywhere on the body. The technology works by exposing the fat cells to extreme cold for a certain amount of time. This injures the fat cells which go on to die and get permanently flushed away by the body. The most common areas for treatment are the belly/abdomen, bra fat, arms, inner and outer thighs, chin, flanks, muffin top, and back fat.

When you come in for treatment, your CoolSculpting specialist will greet you and get you comfortable in a robe. She will review the areas to be treated with you and get started! The appropriate applicator will be placed on the first area to be treated, then you will feel some suction as the CoolSculpting machine pulls your fat bulge into the applicator. Next, the cooling will kick in and the process has begun! We will get you comfortable sitting or laying down with pillows and blankets, get you some snacks, our wifi password and turn on the tv if you’d like. You relax while your fat is frozen!
After 35min or so, our CoolSculpting specialist will remove the applicator and massage cold tissue to break up the little ice crystals in the fat cells. This is probably the most uncomfortable part of the treatment, but we walk you through it and thankfully, it only lasts a couple of minutes!
We repeat the whole process until we’ve completed your treatment plan.
You won’t have any limitations after treatment. You are free to return to work, exercise, running errands, etc. immediately after treatment. Depending on the areas treated, you may notice a little redness for an hour or so and could notice a little numbness or tingling for several days. This is all normal and will resolve.
After 6-8 weeks, you’ll start to notice that the treated areas are getting flatter and thinner!
Really, you don’t have to do anything special, the fat cells that were treated will be gone…permanently. So, as long as you eat and exercise at least in the same way that you did prior to treatment then you’ll maintain your results. Often, the results of the treatment motivate you to keep the momentum going and to lose even more weight or get even more toned with diet and exercise.
Of course, you still have some fat cells left, so if you overeat and/or stop exercising, you can gain weight. The fat cells that died in CoolSculpting don’t come back or move so you remain more shapely/sculpted, but you can get larger.
