Fat transfer is a technique that has been available for decades for volume restoration, but recent advancements have made it not only a natural, and safe way to restore facial volume, but one that is aesthetically elegant.

Donor fat typically comes from your abdomen or inner thighs, as those are areas where the fat is usually available and suitable for use in the face.  The fat is processed to create smaller and more consistent particles in the form of microfat or nanofat.  Then the fat is injected into the skin–usually in the mid-cheek or otherwise.

The fat settles after a few weeks and the end result is very long lasting.
